Korea Nepali Ekata Samaj helps Rs 1.2m

Biratnagar: Daewoo Korea Nepali Ekata Samaj (Gajedo) based in South Korea has provided financial assistance of Rs 1.2 million to the family of a Nepali migrant worker who had died two months ago.
Umesh Chandra Poudel had died on May 6 this year while on duty. He was working for the Daewoo Company based in South Korea. The society (samaj) supported the amount for the study of late Poudel’s six-year old daughter Unisha Poudel. The society informed about this through a press meet here today.
On the occasion, society secretary Chandra Sanghamfe handed the bank voucher of the deposit of the assistance of amount to Sushma Bista Poudel, spouse of the late Poudel. The assistance amount has been deposited in the Nepal Bank Limited, Biratnagar branch.
It is said that around 1,000 Nepali workers are working in the Daewoo Company.
